Ayan Acharyya is a Kolkata-based visual artist, Motion Designer, indie filmmaker, and founder of Applita, a multidisciplinary creative studio uniting motion graphics, visual design, advertising, animation, and independent filmmaking under one visionary brand.Over the past 15 years, Ayan has worked with more than 300 international brands and creative teams across the US, UK, Norway, and other regions delivering high-end motion graphics, visual content, and storytelling-led campaigns for global audiences.He began his career working with some of India’s leading media and entertainment companies, including Ramoji Film City (Hyderabad), Technicolor and Gameberry Labs (Bangalore), Media Factory (Mumbai), and Aptech (Kolkata).For five years, he worked directly with international clients from the US and UK, gaining valuable experience and delivering creative solutions on global projects.With this foundation, Ayan launched Applita as a creative hub where design meets narrative. The studio now produces cinematic ad films, motion design, animation, VFX, branding, and more, serving Indian and international clients with a focus on aesthetics, innovation, and clarity of communication.Beyond Applita’s commercial work, Ayan pursues independent filmmaking as a purely artistic endeavor. His vision is not to compete with traditional commercial film production houses in Kolkata or to chase box office success. Instead, he aims to create world cinema marked by freedom of expression, bringing film production and related creative services together under one brand to foster deeper artistic perspectives and cultural reflection.
